Wonderful day hosted by Global Radio, spending time in their studio, engaging with their DJ presenter Matt Wilkinson, the social media and the 'Global Make Some Noise' team, who fund and support brilliant small charities across the UK, that are making a big difference to people's lives. Today, the support we received was sharing their wealth of knowledge in engaging awareness on social media, and showcasing the support the charity offers.                  Pepperpotcentre.org.uk

Pepperpot attend Windrush Celebration at Buckingham Palace

A historic day for the  Pepperpot Centre…. members ,volunteers and staff attended a reception at Buckingham Palace hosted by the King and Queen to celebrate the Windrush Generation and to mark 75 years since the arrival of the HMT Empire Windrush. During the historic event the Royal couple unveiled 10 new portraits of Windrush elders. The King commissioned 10 Black artists to create the portraits that  pay tribute to the Windrush generation and the immense impact they have made to the United Kingdom. They will become part of the Royal Collection and a lasting memorial to all the people who came to Britain from the Caribbean.
